The Dimplex infra-red wall heater is a safe & practical source of heat in bathrooms, kitchens, work areas – anywhere where fast localised heating is required.

The heater has a power output of 500W switched on via an integrated pull cord. It is designed to provide rapid beamed warmth and has an adjustable beam angle to direct heat where it is most needed.

General note about heaters in bathrooms

Mounting height is generally accepted to be a minimum of 1800mm from the floor. A gap of 300mm should be left either side of the heater. There are no regulations regarding distance above the heater from the ceiling but we advise gap of at least 250mm . This gap may vary depending upon the type of material used in the construction of the ceiling above. Some manufactuers recommend a minimum of 400mm above the heater to the ceiling but this makes installation impossible in some modern homes with low ceilings. If in doubt consult an electrician before purchasing.

Description – Traditional 1800W Radiant Infra-red Bathroom Heater.

Heat is provided by three elements operated by a pull cord that gives a choice of 3 heat settings: 600W, 1200W or 1800W. Complete with an adjustable beam angle to direct the heat where it is needed.

750W Goldair Heat and Light Fitting

Traditional Ceiling Mounted Bathroom Heater and Light Combination.

Unfortunately, due to European legislation, this heater is no longer allowed to be manufactured and sold in the UK. There is no direct replacement and there are no spares available to repair existing fittings.

If your fitting has come to the end of its life, the best option is to replace the fitting with a flush mount light fitting designed for bathrooms and to fit a wall mounted medium-wave infra-red bathroom heater. This will give you the same radiant effect that the ceiling mounted heater was designed to emit
