The LHVC3 is a variable manual controller for adjusting infra-red heat output from a 240V using ‘phase angle’ control.  It also has a built-in surge protector making it particularly useful for the control of short-wave infra-red which has an inherant in-rush current on start-up.

Product Specifications

This 3kW infra-red dimmer simply and effectively controls the output of infra-red heaters up to 3kW load.  By turning a single knob from ‘off’ through ‘0’ to 100% the power input is adjusted thus regulating the heat output. The compact unit measures just 150mm x 80mm x 50mm and is finished in a smart white colour.  It is easy to install by a qualified electrician or competent person.  This unit does not come pre-drilled.  It will rquire Two 20mm holes to the bottom or sides of the unit accomodate glands for the input and output cables.  Glands are not supplied.

To reduce electrical stress and increase reliability an advanced snubberless 25A high surge triac is installed.

A single controller can regulate three 1KW, two 1.5KW or one 3KW heater.
